Friendship

Camaraderie is what has brought human beings together for centuries. I believe friendship is the amiable, chirpy and chummy phase of life. It is a complicated mixture of bittersweet times, bliss, felicity, and sometimes we have the lowest point when there is a misunderstanding and times turn blue. However, according to me, friendship is an immutable relationship which can hamper at times, but stays incorrigible and clings to us for good.   Friends are our confidants; they stay by our side when we fall, and help pick ourselves up for a new start. Somehow we can never give up our friends, and someday, if our friends make a mistake, we should aid them in understanding about the predicament ahead. Friendship sugar-coated and made palatable is always superficial, and in real friendship, love should overflow from our hearts for our friends. My mother always tells me- “Camaraderie should always be a spontaneous reaction”, that is, it should be a sort of a reflex action, something whic...

Our greatest fear

Our greatest fear might be those cliched and archetypal phobias and all the other trivial things. But from my experiences, our greatest fear is- failure. People will keep saying the common and démodé proverb, ‘Failure is the stepping stone to success’, even though they know how it feels to have experienced failure. We fall so that we learn to pick ourselves up’. To be an achiever someday, work throughout the night, burn the midnight lamp to be a great person someday who leaves a permanent mark in ...

Nature's Floral Beauty

Caressed by the fresh breeze While all the flowers console me When the birds twitter And the sun glistens I feel as fresh as spring! Rosy, pink flowers smile at me The breezy air flows through me Like gold The flowers glisten Like future They are mysterious Lilies look in full life When the sunflower look full in the sky And even though I wish to be a flower, I am happy to be the lover of flowers! When the nature is a canvas of colours When the flowers are myriad How can someone imagine, To destroy the deity’s creation! When the green canopy of the tree Surrounds me completely I feel I am wearing a diadem of a king When the butterflies come hovering around They think I am a flower flourishing Aren’t we fortunate enough To find an earth Where anything impossible Is possible!

A journey across a desert

A golden veil glistened on my eye No plant, no rye As far as an eye could stretch All one could see, was a blanket of gold Arduous travellers in search of shade Among Arabian sands, Every flicker of hopelessness entered Sand was but, ubiquitous As we looked on listlessly, Reminiscing auld lang syne, Aura of roses, jasmines, and marigold The wind of sand blindfolded us with its pinching arms, The arid weather was but a devil, With all its might, it trapped us in a plight, A predicament no greater, Had put up a blight, Putting up a ruse of mirage, A raging heat had now risen
